Free Online Roulette - Tips For Roulette Success

By Evan Kingsley

Where can I play free online roulette? The answer is anywhere, the internet is now packed full of great websites that offer all sort of fun games or casino classics, including roulette.

With the cheapness and the availability of broadband it is now a lot easier to load and play all sorts of different kinds of media without having to wait two hours for one pixel of a picture to load.

Not all gambling is to do with betting thousands of dollars. You can enjoy playing roulette just as much for free, with no wagers at all. Maybe you want to practice your skills or waste some time during you boring office hours. (But if you end up getting caught by your boss, you didn’t hear it from me).

Or if you are already a regular player in real life, playing free online roulette can help you test out new strategies or tips before going out to a real casino and trying your luck. It could also be that you are too young to legally gamble and are just looking for a fun game. Hey maybe you’ll be the Tiger Woods of roulette.

When you play free online roulette you won’t be greeted with amazing graphics like you would on a PS3 or commercial PC game, but the basics are still there and it is just as enjoyable. Why waste the time paying for some state of the art simulation when all you really want to do is play roulette?

Before you go online and play there are still some things you should probably know, in order to make the process run as smoothly as possible.

Firstly you need to install all the appropriate software. Some sites try and make you download irrelevant applications to make money through spyware, so make sure you only install reputable programs like Java or Flash. These are the most common platforms for online games and they often won’t load without them.

Unless there is some added twist, free online roulette games generally play in the exact same way as their real life counterpart in terms of rules. Controls may vary, but there will usually be an icon to press in order to select the chip size and then the ability to click the area on the board you’d like to bet on. You will then have to click on something to make it spin and a small animation or sound will play to indicate spinning.

Free online roulette is not the only kind of casino game available; most sites have loads of different ones to choose, from slots to poker. And if the website isn’t casino specific there will probably be hundreds of other non gambling style games as well.

You may also be aware that there are also hundreds of casino and gambling websites that allow you to play with real money in a similar fashion to the free versions, although it is easy to fall in to the trap of spending beyond your means because of the simple and impersonal environment.

The Martingale Roulette System - How to Win at Roulette

By Evan Kingsley

There are many roulette systems out there that exist. Among all of them, the martingale system has been around since the 18th century and is acknowledged as the most popular to date. Martingale was initially made to refer to a category of betting strategies where a gambler gets to win his bet if a head comes up after tossing a coin and loses if it a tail shows up instead. This strategy will dictate that a player should double the bet for every loss so he could recover what he lost from the previous bet and win an equal profit with his original bet.

This system can be particularly profitable for players when used correctly. The important thing is to follow the system and not get greedy - as that is when the system can break down.

Application of the Martingale Roulette System

The martingale roulette system is easy to follow and one can easily catch up on this idea real quick. Players may start going for progressives which is the main basis of the system when betting in roulette games. One should bet on even money wagers only such as betting on black or red, high or low, odd or even. If you lose your bet, double the bet amount on your next try. If the next one is another lose, double the amount again on your next bet such that when you win, you get all your previous losses back. In eight consecutive bets where you would double your previous bets, you would need a bankroll of at least $255 when starting with $1 bet. From bets 1-8, what you would need to shell out each time are $1, $2, $4, $8, $16, $32, $64 and $128.

Many beginners may start wondering about the logic of betting $255 only to win back $1 of bet. The answer is that, in most instances, the probability of losing 9 bets in a row is very minimal and you are winning the entire bets you placed instead of winning just $1.

Probabilities for Roulette Variations

Several casinos may offer either American or European roulette and between the two, the European version is a better option for the Martingale system. This version approximately provides an equal chance than American roulette. It is also 20% safer to play. The probability of winning an even money bet in the European version is 48.6% while it is less at 47.3% for American roulette. The probability of losing nine consecutive bets is higher with the American version at 0.31% while it is set at 0.25% for European version. With the European version, there is a probability of losing once in 400 spins when compared to 1 in 320 spins for the American version. On the flipside, the probability of losing in as many spins is quite high. This means that the Martingale system will prove to be profitable even with the American version of roulette.

Consider, too, the limits set for betting. The chance of using this Martingale system can be limited. This is all the more true if you are tight on your bankroll and are scared of losing that much. Think first if this is the system that’s best suited for you.

How to Play Roulette and Win - Roulette Tips and Strategies

By Evan Kingsley

Winning in a game fueled mostly by chance requires a lot of luck and a strong bankroll. On top of the two, there should be some form of common sense. A few dosage of intelligence may give a player an idea on what to do next with their roulette chips. If you’re someone who wants to play better roulette and win more than what nonsensical players do, then here are some points you may want to consider to make your roulette games more entertaining, if not profitable.

Consider the Odds

Every type of bets has their own payout and odds, the higher the payout the lesser the odds you win with your bets. It’s your job as a player to determine the odds of winning and estimate how much you are going to win or lose in the long run. Try striking a balance between the two determinants. Some people advise new player to try wagering on even-money bets as they have one of the highest expected value in the long run.

Consider the Table

The Roulette table where you play is one of the earliest determinants of the expected gain or lose of one player. While they may seem to be the same, always remember that the American roulette carries lesser odds for the player, which means the table has a higher edge compared to its European counterpart. This means a player gets to lose more in American Roulette than in European Roulette. So if you’re playing roulette to win, you might want to settle on a table that gives a little bit more odds in your favor.

Consider the Edge

Never underestimate the effect of house edge in your bankroll. House edge rates like 1.35%, 2.5%, 5.26 and 7.89% may not mean so much, but given the number of hands, it sure packs a wallop in your bankroll. You may be winning once every few hands, but you could be losing it on house as well, and worse, you can’t do anything about it. Player who doesn’t care about the house edge and its effect in their game usually finds himself empty-handed in the roulette table.

Consider En Prison and La Partage

Apart from the even-money bets, one thing you should look into is the En Prison and La Partage rules. En Prison rule allows the player to either lose half of his chips or to let his chips sit for another round when the ball hits Zero. In La Partage, the players are automatically given back half of the chips they have bet. This provides players with lesser house advantage, which means players lose a lot lesser when there is La Partage and En Prison rules in effect. These rules provides player with more advantage over the house and could help spell the difference between winning and losing money. Not all casino implements the rule, so ask first if they have En Prison or La Partage rules before you play.

American Roulette Systems: Game Strategies And Tips For How To Win

By J Finney

The Red/Black system is one of the better known roulette systems around. Your bets for this system are on either red or black, with your pay out 1 to 1, meaning your money is doubled for a win. It is worth keeping in mind that your chances of winning each bet are just under 50/50 due to the fact that the 0 and 00 gives the casino its advantage.

To begin you must choose a color and place your bet on either red or black. If you win, keep your winnings and place your starting bet again. If you lose, double your stake and place a bet on the same color again. If this bet wins, your net result after two bets is the same as if you had one you initial bet. Keep your winnings and begin with your starting stake again. If your second bet loses, double your stake again, and continue doing this until your color does come up, at which point your net win from the string of bets will be the same as if you won your starting bet. It doesn’t take too many losing bets in a row for your bet amount to climb to quite a big number. Be very aware of the table bet limit - if you reach this before you have a win then you stand to lose a considerable amount.

The Five Number System calls for straight-up inside bets which offer a payout of 35 to 1. You place your bets on five individual numbers. Don’t forget 0 and 00 are part of the inside numbers you can wager on. Pick any five numbers, they all have the exact same chance of winning. Find a game where the minimum bet is no more than $5 and buy forty $1 chips ($40). If you limit yourself to relatively small stakes you can’t get badly hurt. With this system you hope to get lucky two consecutive times. Start by placing one chip on each of your five chosen numbers. Repeat this same wager until you win - you have enough chips for eight tries. When the ball comes to rest on one of your numbers, you win 35 chips. Divide the 35 chips over your five number fields, seven on each. If you hit again the pay off will be 7 x 35 = $245. No matter what the outcome, this was your last spin. Smart gamblers know when to quit.

Win Roulette - Easy Tips To Maximize Your Profits

By TC Harrison

Roulette.

Round and round and round she goes, and where she stops, nobody knows.

Growing up, I always loved roulette. It was something that fascinated me -- watching the ball spin around and around and around, and knowing that if it landed in the right slot, there was a lot of money that could be made.

Of course, when I got older and I went into a casino for the first time, I discovered that it was a whole lot harder to make money at it than I had thought, at first. Luckily, I'm a pretty fast learner and I quickly found a way that I could minimize my losses and maximize my profits.

Well, times change and suddenly, I find myself spending time at online casinos, and playing online roulette.

Guess what?

You can use the same strategies that will help you minimize your losses and maximize your profits with online roulette.

Now, before you get all excited, I've got to put in a disclaimer here. Some casinos are better than others and I'm only going to be discussing the good casinos, which you can find located at the end of this article.

One of the benefits to playing at one of the good online casinos is that they want to get you to try their site and they'll give you some really nice incentives. What kind of nice incentives?

FREE MONEY.

That's right -- you log on, you sign up, and you get some really great offers. Some of them will match your initial deposit with double and sometimes triple what you're bringing to the table. Now, I don't know about you but I sure like the sound of that.

Okay, so you find a good online casino and you want to play roulette.

Do you have a strategy?

If you don't, I can give you some pointers right now that will help you out.

First of all, keep in mind that there are the odds are always the same -- no matter what. You might spin the wheel a thousand times and not have the number "15" come up but that doesn't mean that you're "due" for it to show up. (If you go into a real casino, you'll see some casinos actually give out little cards for you to keep track of the numbers -- because they want you to pick numbers that haven't come up in a while, even though those numbers are no more likely to show up than any other.)

Now, here's a little trick that I've learned through the years, playing both online and real-world casinos.

First, you want to figure out how much you're prepared to lose -- in my case, I'll start off with $100 as my loss figure.

Then, you want to have a "win" number -- how much you want to win before you walk away from the table. I usually make it half how much I can afford to lose. So that means that I'll usually have $50 as my "walk-away" number.

Next, you'll want to bet 10 percent of your money on either red or black.

Now, keep in mind that casinos (online and real-world) always have a slight advantage. However, when you play what's known as "rock solid," you make the odds work in your favor.

The way that this works is to basically make sure that you stay the course. Instead of jumping back and forth between red and black, there are many professional players who constantly play one color -- no matter what.

What they're doing is playing the odds -- which are random. At times, they're down slightly and other times, they're up slightly. With a little bit of common sense and a "feel" for the various tables, there are players out there who are doing extremely well.

Of course, I'm not an idiot and neither are you. So whenever I gamble, I make sure that I'm not gambling more than I can afford to lose -- and I make sure that I never get in over my head.

Roulette Gambling Is Knowing How To Find The Best Odds, Winning, And Running With Your Money

By James Ford

Roulette Gambling is something that players can choose to do in a real live casino, or at online casinos. However, if you are interested, before you decide to participate in Roulette Gambling, you should first learn all of the rules to the game, and know the best strategies. You can find the rules and strategies at various online casinos, as well as in a number of casino game guides and books.

Roulette Gambling odds

The best type of Roulette Gambling is making the choice to place your wager on either red or black, or even or odd. This bet has an odd of 1:1, because the only way you can lose is if the ball lands on the opposite color, number sequence or 0. Other bets that players use when Roulette Gambling is making a split bet instead of a straight-up bet. The reason for this is because a split bet provides a player with a 17:1 odd, due to the fact that the player has placed a wager on two numbers. Whereas a straight-up bet produces a much lower odd of 35:1. This is a result of the player placing all of their money only on one number.

Roulette Gambling - make a time limit

It is a good idea to keep in mind that when playing a popular casino table game, such as roulette, that you give yourself a time limit. For example, do not fall into the trap of staying at the table for any longer than 5 to 10 minutes. Many players often delude themselves into believing that if they just make one more wager they are sure to win big. Don’t let Roulette Gambling fool you. The odds are always in favor of the casino, so regardless if you are on a winning streak or not, take the rest of whatever money you have left, and leave.

Roulette Gambling is a lot of fun, as long as you know where your priorities lie, and understand that all you need is luck to win.

Winning At Roulette Is Exciting And A Great Way To Feel Lucky

By James Ford

Winning at roulette is based entirely on the luck of the player. There is no particular strategy or skill that can be applied for winning at roulette. That being the case, a players best option is to then analyze the best odds that are linked to the game before playing. Nevertheless, regardless of how they gamble, players who try winning at roulette, often lose, simply because they do not know when to quit, and almost all of the odds are in favor of the casino.

Winning at Roulette - Odds and Bets

The best way to bet, if winning at roulette is your goal, is to place wagers that give you an equal chance of either losing or winning. These bets include the even or odd bet, as well as the black or red bet. The odds for these bets are 1:1, and the only way that a player can lose, is if the ball lands on the opposite color, number pattern or on O.

Winning at Roulette - Time limit

Winning at roulette isn’t always easy, and that is why it is important for players to set a time limit when they choose to play at the roulette table. A time limit is what helps to keep players in control of their actions and over their money. It is a suggested that one should not spend more than 5 to 10 minutes at the roulette table. Once that time is up, regardless if the player is winning at roulette or losing, that they should walk away.

Every player has the opportunity of winning at roulette, but if you would like to increase your chances, it is a good idea to practice, and also watch the game to discover what bets produce the best odds. With any luck you could be the next lucky player who enjoys winning at roulette.

Best Roulette Strategy #2 - Reverse Martingale System

By Richard Legg

In the classic Martingale betting system, each gambler increases their bet after each round that they loss in order for them to recover all their losses once they win. But in the Reverse Martingale System (also known as the Anti-Martingale system), you will be taught to bet on the streak continuously. In other words, you double your bet for every successive win and you reduce your bet to one unit on the next spin on every loss. This system instructs players to increase bets after they win and reduce bets after they lose, which is the direct opposite of the Martingale System. The idea is that this will benefit a gambler from a winning streak or also known as a “hot hand”, and at the same time reducing the losses when on a losing streak or also known as “cold hand

Take for example; you might bet $1 on black if you were playing the Reverse Martingale at the roulette table. And if the black wins, you increase your stake to $2, which is double your initial bet. And if the black wins again, you increase your bet twice to $4 and you carry on doing this while you are on a winning streak. When you do this, you have to decide when to stop because this is a matter of personal strategy. As the probability of a long streak is rather small, it is quite difficult for a gambler to win on a single streak when using the Reverse Martingale System. Therefore, be prepared to stay and play for several more streaks that you run into. The Reverse Martingale System is definitely the best strategy for someone who is on the rush.

If you limit yourself to short streaks of 3 or 4, the success rate of the Reverse Martingale can be quite high since the vast majority of streaks will never be longer than 4. This can be considered quite profitable if a gambler knows when to stop. But whether a gambler uses the Martingale or Reverse Martingale System would all boil down to the gamblers playing style and preferences.

The Reverse Martingale System can be used in other aspects of life. When one is playing the financial market, the Reverse Martingale System can prove very useful. Since the financial market is very broad, flexible traders will use different strategy depending on the market mood and the fundamental changes in the market.

The Reverse Martingale can be put into use to effectively boost profits when the strategy is doing well and very successful and it will automatically reduce them when the strategy is somehow not doing very well.

I hope that this article I have created on Reverse Martingale strategy can help you win in your gambling games. I tried to talk less on the mathematical arguments but focused on the key points so as to help you understand it as quickly and as easily as possible. Nevertheless, I think that this is the best comprehensive discussion of Reverse Martingale on the web. Well, good luck at the wheel!

Roulette Sniper Review - Good Or Bad?

By Mark T. Davis

I decided to write this Roulette Sniper review after having a chance to look into all of the claims that the software can make you rich. Is it really possible to start making money in 10 minutes? In this review I take an objective look at what you can realistically expect to get out of the product, with the hopes that the information will help you to decide if it’s an investment worth making.

I’m really into gambling. Roulette is my favorite game, and I’ve tried everything from the High/Medium/Low method to the Martingale one. While these worked for a short period of time, overall I ended up walking away with less money than I came in with. This is where Roulette Sniper came in and saved the day.

With Roulette Sniper, you can bet on Outsides, Corners, Trios, Lines, Columns, Dozens and Splits. Unlike other methods that only allow you to be a dollar at a time, with this program you can wager up to $6, enabling you to make money that much faster. By limiting your losses and maximizing your wins, you can make a killing on the roulette table. If you’re concerned about the risk, Roulette Sniper allows you to customize your betting experience. This means that the risk level is completely in your hands at all times.

Concerned about the ease of use? Roulette Sniper is so easy, a chimpanzee can make money using it. Just gain instant access, install the software and read the directions. The directions walk you step-by-step through the process and in as little as 10 minutes you can start making money.

Roulette Sniper is 100 percent legal, works in any country and it hasn’t yet been banned in casinos. The best thing about the software is that it comes with an 8 week satisfaction guarantee. With a promise like that, what’s not to love? I highly recommend the software for people who are tired of being on the losing end of their bets. It truly is possible to get rich working your own hours gambling!

Basic Rules in Live Roulette

By Dan Roberts II

With Live Roulette being, in all aspects, a game that depends on chance, the rules of the game are pretty simple. The focal point of the game is when the ball starts rolling as it is tossed by the croupier onto the table with the spinning Roulette wheel. The number on which the ball will land depends on chance. The only thing that does not depend on chance in a Live Roulette game is the number on which you place your bet, which, of course, you will have to choose from amongst thirty-seven or thirty-eight different slots on the table.

The Live Roulette game starts with betting. The bets continue until the croupier says so. You can place your bet and you can still change it if the croupier has not declared the end of the betting. This is usually around the time when the ball is slowing down and is just about to rest on a winning number.

In placing your bets, you need to know what the number on the Roulette table stands for. The numbers are not just simply arranged on the table. There is no set order for the numbers. Even the positions of the numbers are basically left to chance. A black pocket can be next to yet another black pocket, as well. This means that the colors are also random, and are not in any alternating or patterned positions.

There are different kinds of bets in a Live Roulette game. When you bet on any of the numbers from zero to thirty-six, these bets are called inside bets. However, outside of these numbers, there are pockets numbered with “1st 12”, “2nd 12”, or “3rd 12”. These pockets are equivalent to dozens. When you place your bets on these pockets, these bets are called outside bets. The bets are then identified based on the number of the pocket, its color, and whether the number is an odd or even. Thus, in Live Roulette, you can place an inside or an outside, an odd or an even, a black or a red, and a high or a low bet.

There are different betting rules in playing Live Roulette. The winnings of each kind of bet may differ. There are terms that are used to determine the bets placed. For example, a “straight up” bet pertains to a bet on any number. A “split bet” is a bet placed on the line between two numbers. This means that you are betting on both numbers. You can also try a “street bet”, which is betting on three numbers in a row. Betting on four numbers is called “corner bet”. Aside from the basic bets, there are also different betting combination such as the “line bet” which means betting on two street bets, or the “ column bet”, and the “dozen bet”.

There is a maximum bet for every Roulette game, which all depends on what is called ‘table limits’. The table limit or the maximum bet allowed is displayed on the Roulette table. This can vary from one Live Roulette game to another. The maximum bet applies only to straight up bets. For the other bets, the maximum bet are usually multiplied by the number of pockets you bet on. For example, you placed a split bet on two numbers. You will then multiply the straight up maximum bet by two to get the maximum bet for that wager.

Despite these basic rules, a Live Roulette game is usually a carefree game where players are just trying their luck. So when you play a Live Roulette game, make sure that you are only doing it to have some fun.

European Roulette Rules and Tips

By Evan Kingsley

Although the American roulette is the most common type used around the world, the game actually originated in Europe. The first roulette games were held in 18th century France. It is believed to be a combination of English and Italian board games. Roulette comes from the French word small wheel, which is also the focus of the game. In 1800s, the game spread in Europe and America and became one of the most popular gambling games in casinos. There is a slight difference between the American and European roulette, but essentially, the basic rules are still the same.

Overview of Roulette

Roulette is composed of a wheel which contains colored numbered pockets around its circumference. The dealer spins the wheel in one direction and a ball in another. The main objective of the game is for the player to bet on the right number the ball will land on at the end of the spin.

American Versus European Roulette

European roulette was established in Monte Carlo and is the only place that utilizes this type until now. American roulette is pretty much the most common type used around the world today. The main difference between them is that European roulette uses a single zero wheel, in which the players have more odds of winning compared to an American roulette which uses a double zero wheel.

The betting types are both the same for American and European roulette, but the odds are different due to their layouts. Players can utilize 12 betting types. The first six is termed as inside bets and the other half is called outside bets. Inside bets include, straight up, split, street, corner, six line and trio. These consist of number or group of numbers as hinted by their names. Outside bets are 1 to 18, 19 to 36, red or black, odd or even, dozen and row bets. These consist of groups of numbers, color of the wheel or odd or even numbers. Outside bets typically have better chances of wining but small payouts.

European roulette uses a single zero wheel and has 37 pockets in total. The zero is the house edge which puts the odds in favor of the casino. Players have better chances of winning on this game compared to that of the American which has another green pocket marked with a double zero and has 38 pockets in total. Interested players can go online if they want to try. Online casinos offer European roulette with random number generators for fair play. The payout depends on the probability of the type of bet you make.

There have been different strategies made to predict the outcome of the wheel. Unfortunately, these are not accurate, and the game depends entirely on chance. Even though European roulette is less difficult than the American version, that doesn’t mean you can rest easy. Players still have to beat the odds of the game and place it in their favor. The remaining solution for now is to play more European roulette to increase your chances and recover your losses.

Best Roulette Strategy #1 - The Martingale System

By Richard Legg

The Martingale System is one of the most typically used strategy for players who are playing the roulette. This system can be used continuously on bets that are of equal probability. Now, I’ll explain how you can maximize your winnings by using the roulette split bets using the Martingale System.

Doubling your bets with each red for each continuous spin is the basics of the Martingale strategy. Bet a dollar first on red. If you lose, double your bet by betting $2. If you lose again, double your bet and bet $4 on red if. In regards to the bets that I have mentioned above, if you have won on the third spin, you would have won $4 and lost $3 ($1 on the first spin and $2 on the second). You would still have made a profit of a dollar from it.

Guess what? The best part of this Martingale System is that you can even make a profit even though you have loss almost 50% of the time! With the given example above, we had lost 2 spins out of the 3. If we did not use the Martingale System while playing, we would have made a loss of $1 instead of profiting $1 from it.

While playing roulette using the Martingale System, you have to keep in mind that sometimes, the wheel will go black, red, black and red with none of the colors coming twice in a row. Therefore, the Martingale System would work quite well under these circumstances.

While you are already thinking of using the Martingale System to earn some big bucks, I would like to inform you that there are also possibilities where the first 50 spins are black while the next 50 are red. With this example given, I can assure you that you will come up with a profit even if this happens.

But in order to make a profit out of the given example, one must have an infinite bankroll. But the problem is, we do not have an infinite bankroll and at some point or another, we might hit the casino’s cap limit. Both of the factors are definitely against the Martingale System.

With this given example, the Martingale strategy would definitely not work very well unless the casino do not have a cap limit and you do have an infinite bankroll. But if you have an infinite bankroll, you wouldn’t be whiling your time away by gambling. I can assure you that neither of the examples that I have mentioned will be shown and there will definitely be something in between them.

All seasoned gamblers should already know that there are times that you are really bad on your luck and have many bad run, but there is nothing you can do to stop it. But whatever happens, I must advise you that you must still be cautious while using the Martingale System and not be overly confident. Regardless, the Martingale System is useful to a certain extent and can definitely boost your winning edge over at the table.

Why Play Casino Roulette On The Internet?

By Richard Legg

Some people just love Las Vegas. They love the bright lights, the spectacular shows, the grand architectural displays, and all the eye candy that Las Vegas has to offer. Of course, people come to Vegas to gamble on the slot machines, on the blackjack tables, roll dice at craps, and try their luck at the roulette wheel. But they also want to experience the sights and sounds of the city, eat at the buffets, sleep at the fancy themed hotels, see the shows, and even to get married at a nearby drive-in chapel.

These are all great vacation moments, but if you only want to get that rush from gambling or to experience the atmosphere of a casino, then flying to Las Vegas becomes a very expensive trip indeed. Traveling has become quite costly these days, whether you're going by car or by plane. Going to Las Vegas means booking a hotel, spending money for drinks and food, paying for transportation, etc. And we're not talking about the gambling yet! This is why a trip to Las Vegas means a once-a-year vacation for most of us.

And this is also the reason why more and more people are going turning to online casinos to get their gambling fix. Online roulette has become a very popular game for players looking to enjoy the excitement and fun of playing roulette in a casino, but without the overspending that is attached to every Las Vegas trip. The thought of playing in the privacy and comfort of your own home attracts many people to online roulette, plus the fact that the odds of the game are similar (or even better) to that of land-based casinos.

All you need to play casino roulette online are your bankroll, some experience, a lot of guts, and even more luck. Plus of course, an Internet connection. It's quite the same thing as playing in a real land-based casino, actually. The only difference is that you don't have to spend on anything else when you want to play roulette online. That, in itself, can be a major factor that can convince people to try playing the online game too.

In online roulette, all the money you'd have to prepare should go to your bankroll alone. Even the software is free! You just need your cash for your bets. Aside from this, the experience of losing and winning remains the same, whether you're playing in a land-based casino or on the Internet. Another advantage of playing the game online is that you can have your systems and your strategy notebooks by your side all the time, and no one will be the wiser. You can pause the game everytime you want to, whether to make a sandwich, order some fastfood, open up a few beers, go to the toilet, or just take a breather for a few minutes.

When it comes to the actual winning or losing, you are in for some good news. A lot of gambling experts are saying that the winnings in online roulette is even better than that of land-based casinos. The main reason for this is that operating an online casino is way much cheaper, so online casinos can afford to give out larger payouts without being in danger of going broke. Aside from that, competition among online casinos is getting fiercer, so players can expect several bonuses and even loyalty rewards that they otherwise cannot enjoy elsewhere. These bonuses can be considered as advertising or promotional materials to attract more players online.

So why not try playing roulette online? Save yourself an expensive trip to Las Vegas and enjoy all the fun and excitement of casino roulette in your own home. The winnings are better, the expenses are lesser, and the experience of playing in a real casino is not sacrificed at all.

Essential Information For Winning At Roulette

By Richard Legg

Even though the game of roulette has risen in popularity over the decades, there are still many players that have absolutely no idea how to play the game properly. As a result, they play recklessly and lose a lot of money, even when they don’t have to. I have compiled several basic but important tidbits of information that will hopefully help beginners to tip the odds a little bit more to their favor.

The house edge – Always keep in mind that wherever you play, there is always the house edge that you have to beat. You cannot avoid it, so all you can do is try to improve your chances of winning as much as possible by being knowledgeable about the game and all its nuances.

Choose the correct system – Now, this is easier said than done. There are many roulette playing systems that are being offered or sold out there, so choosing one from the dozens of available systems may be overwhelming. If you can avoid it, try to play without using a system at all. If you do have to use one, collect as much information as possible about the system before you use it.

European is better – When it comes to roulette, the European way is definitely better than American. Why? The American roulette wheel has a “00”, meaning the house edge is way up there; almost double when compared to that of the European wheel (2.63%) which has only one “0”.

Use the odds – As much as possible, place your bets where the payouts are parallel to the bets. Red or black, or perhaps odd or even bets are good examples. This way, you play at just a little below even odds with the house, so your money will last longer and you get to play more. If you’re the aggressive type, though, this one may be too much for you to handle.

Speaking about bets, do you know what the best bet in roulette is? It’s a bet placed on a European table, known as the en prison bet. This can be made on all even-money bets. How does it work? When the ball lands on 0, your bet remains on the table for the next round. If you win on the next spin, you don’t get all your winnings, but you do get your original bet back, so only half your bet is actually lost. What’s more, the en prison rule on even-money bets only gives the house an edge of 1.35%. This is why the en prison bet is the best bet to make in roulette.

Streaking – This is another fallacy that needs to be avoided entirely. It’s amazing how even players with years of experience will believe that a succession of reds will increase the odds of hitting a black on the next spin. Fact: the ball and the wheel have no memory. Even if the reds have hit twelve times in a row, the odds of getting a black on the next spin will always be 50-50.

Set a bankroll – One of the best things to do to avoid piling up huge losses is to set a bankroll for the game. Once you’ve used it up, quit. Say goodbye, turn around and don’t look back. This way, you avoid losing more money than what you were prepared for. Never gamble more than you can afford to lose.

8 Tips On How To Win Up Big At Roulette

By Don Bannsom

Have you ever noticed that players that sit around a roulette table either win lots of money, or lose their entire bankroll in about 2 minutes and walk away sulking. In fact you might have been in the situation a few times.

Frustrating and annoying isnt it? but you see there is an easier way to win up big at roulette and their are no tricks or gimmicks and there is not technical mathematically equations to figure out.

Here is an easier way for you to walk away a winner at the roulette wheel as soon as you sit down at the table. Follow these simple steps.

1. Understand the house edge

You cannot remove the odds and it swings in the houses favor although you can do things that will swing the favor over to your side during your session.

2. Don’t listen to other pundit players

You cannot apply a mathematical system, normally when you sit down and ask a good player what he or she does, and study their technique it is simple and effective.

3. European Roulette is the best

If you do have a chance to play the European wheel make sure you do – The American wheel has a few 0's on the wheel which makes it harder for you and the house advantage is much more on that.

4. Know your odds

Betting on odds and evens or black and red will further increase your chances of winning. Infact these are about the best odds in the casino. This will give you staying power.

5. The best sort of bet you can place.

The prison bet is one the best bets high rollers normally make.

If the ball lands on 0, the you leave it for the next play.

If you win the next spin, you aren't paid for that win, but you can claim your original bet back; This means that you are really only losing half your initial bet.

With the prison rule the house edge is only 1.35% - Which give you the best bet you can make and the less risky.

6. Good streaks and Bad streaks

The is no such thing as good streak. The chances of any number or color are the same each time the wheel is spun.

7. Give yourself a bankroll in advance

If you have a bank roll of $400 and it gets used up. Walk away! too many people try to go back and make the money back. This is a big no no. Know when it is time to quit. There is always tomorrow.

8. Be happy and have fun

Every now and then you should throw in a bet to be a little different or for fun. Thats why you are there in the first place.

Roulette was designed to be fun! Ever notice the people who get emotional at the table often lose more.

These tips above are exactly what you need to start winning more at the casino. With more practice comes more winnings. Good Luck!

By Alexander Korablev

Roulette is the one of the most popular gambling games. You can find roulette table almost in all casinos in the world online or live. Roulette is a pure game of luck. But if you learn some strategies you can significant increase your chances to win.

First of all control yourself. If you are losing, do acknowledge the fact that you are not simply lucky "today". Don't keep playing hoping that you could gain back your losses. Stop. Close your browser if you play online. Go for a walk or to the bar if you play in live casino.

There are some useful tips to win more playing online or offline roulette:

* Keep in mind that you are in the casino to enjoy yourself, to be entertained. Roulette isn't a job. Roulette is a game.

* If playing online, read carefully the rules as well as the terms and condition of the casino site. Before you open real money account in online casino, make sure that is not scam.

* Always allocate a certain amount for the game, for the day. Strictly stick to the limit. It's very important.

* As with any game, a general rule is to gamble only the money that you could afford to lose. Never use the money allotted for paying other bills such as rental, utility bills, etc. You'll need professional help if you do gamble this way.

* Practice makes perfect. Before playing for real money, take the time to acquaint yourself first with the game.

* Don't gamble with so much money in just one spin. You may lose all in an instant. Place small bets.

* If you are having a bad day, stop. You can go back and try your luck again another day. If you lose some money today, you can win some money tomorrow. But if you lose all your money today, you will have no money for game tomorrow.

* Stay away from alcoholic beverages. Alcohol can greatly affect you decisions in playing the game. Have a clear mind when playing.

* Use "reverse Matringale" as a betting strategy. Double your bet when you win.

History of Live Roulette

By Dan Roberts II

The home of so many casino games, France, is also the land to thank for the exciting game of live roulette. The game, in all its entirety, came from France. Its name was even adopted from a French word meaning “small wheel”. The first roulette game was originally played at an improvised casino in France during the seventeenth century. However, the game was still much different from the roulette game that we know today. The biggest difference is mainly because the first roulette table was created only afterwards, during the 1800’s.

Despite the famous origins of live roulette, some people claim that the game was actually based on a Chinese game of old. But due to the lack of details, the story was not proved and the French origin of the game was accepted worldwide. However, no matter where the game came from, all that matters to casino players is that it was invented. Casino gambling, and online gambling as well, will not be complete without a live roulette game.

The most amazing thing about roulette is that it was able to retain most of its original form. The basic rules of the roulette game we love to play nowadays are still the basic rules that surrounded the game when it just started. Several years after the conception of roulette, the original game was still being played. Unlike most other casino games, roulette did not receive much modification. Maybe this is because the game is already as exciting as it can get.

The only major change that occurred to the game was the addition of the zero pocket. This, however, happened long after the game was invented. It already had quite a following when this change was implemented. This is shown by the mere reason why the casinos decided to add the zero. It turns out that the zero pocket increases the house’s advantage. For the same reason, yet another zero was added to the game later on. The second zero was added when the game first debuted in the United States. This popularized the two variations of roulette, one involving one zero and the other involving two, as the European and the American versions, respectively.

There are other differences between what is now known as the European roulette and the American roulette. However, like the difference in the number of zeros, the differences between the two forms of roulette are very minor and do not really affect the game that much. Another distinct difference is that the European roulette table is bigger than the American roulette table. As a result, a rake is used to clear out the contents of the European table while the American table can be cleared simply with the dealer’s own hand.

Despite the minor differences, the important thing is that roulette is still what it originally was. The basic rules did not change. The procedures in playing the game also remained the same. The test of time is the true test of how good the live roulette game is. And the game passed with flying colors.

The Game of Roulette and the Best Strategy

By Dan Roberts II

In the game of roulette best strategy is something that is talked about all the time. If you talk to ten different people who play roulette and you ask them about their winning strategy chances are that you would get ten different answers, this is just the nature of the game. Some people base there plan on money, others on numbers on the roulette wheel, and others still base their plan on how often they win and how often they lose. Which is the best? That all depends on who you are, why you play, and what your goals are and each person usually plays for a different reason. There is truly not one tried and true winning strategy that works for everyone, so you have to be willing to experiment a bit.

The Best Strategy is Your Strategy

Are you thinking that the roulette best strategy for you is one that relies on sequential or conditional probability? If so, you’ll probably want to think again at it is these systems that are proven to fail players time and time again. The reason why this can be said so bluntly is because roulette is not a game of probability and you cannot treat it as such. Those that lose sight of the fact that roulette is a game of chance are usually those that end up wasting a lot of time and money in the process of playing. You must also remember that each spin of the roulette spin is not related to the last, meaning that the outcome of one spin is not determined by the spins that came before it.

When looking for the roulette best strategy for you, you will want to remember that the roulette wheel has no memory. A lot of strategies out there that you will com across will be based on the fact that the wheel will automatically land on a certain color after one color has been spun. Many gamblers have a hard time believing that the roulette wheel has no memory, but it doesn’t!

Based on what you have learned here you should have decided that the roulette best strategy for you is one that involves your luck on any given day and when you are willing to walk away from the table. You can have all of the lists of probabilities in your head but if you aren’t having much luck and you don’t know when to say when, you’ll end up losing a lot of money. On the other hand, you could not have any idea about probabilities and you could win a lot of money and not know when to quit and end up losing it all.

If you want to win when you play roulette you need to know the idea behind the game, you need to set a maximum amount of money that you are willing to lose, and you also need to be able to bow out after you have won instead of getting greedy and pushing your luck. Roulette is a game that requires you to risk your money, but if you are lucky than that risk may be well worth it!

The Magic Roulette Number

By Adel Awwad

The magic roulette number is a uniquely personal number. If you have a favorite number between 1 and 36 you are in luck because that could be your magic roulette number. You could have two or three numbers, as this idea for gaming does not require a lot of money. This idea is for betters who are not roulette players and are just willing to take a flyer from time to time.

Let's say your favorite number is 26 and 27. Using the rule of three, the bettor plays this or these numbers three times in a row. If the number comes up you press the bet one unit and play one extra time for each win. The rational for this wager is it can be played every time you are in a casino. You may play it many times before it ever hits and then it may repeat or show up several times in your next random plays. There is no logic to this play and it takes no skill whatever, but it also can win and pay off a nice amount of 35 to 1.

If it wins for you, it may indicate that you are going to be lucky today and it also raises your humor and confidence. If it loses, so what, it is such a small amount of money bet and in the scheme of things it should not make or break your gaming trip.

You can do a similar idea on the roulette table and play the bet, which covers 1 to 12 or 13 to 24 or 25 to 36. This bet pays 2 to 1 when it wins. You are on your own as to how many times you will play this wager. My suggestion would be an odd number of times.

For those of you who would like to become serious roulette players, there are several sites on the Internet which layout many different strategies. There is however no strategy that guarantees a win. This is true, no matter what the seller of the strategy claims.

Parlay systems in roulette are okay as long as they are reasonable and do not lead the player off of a cliff financially. Parlay systems seem to work until they are tested in the real world of casino gaming. Do not go hog wild on any system in roulette as it comes down to if you are lucky you win and if not you had your gaming fix.

Play Roulette Like A Pro

By Rich McHagans

It is commonly believed that a game like Roulette is one of complete chance and luck. How can there be any strategy for playing this kind of a game?

While it is undeniable that chance and luck are an inherent feature of roulette the fact that a strategy for the game can be followed, should not totally be overruled. Roulette is a game of statistical probability and hence the strategy becomes quite simple. Here are a few simple tips that you should keep in mind while betting:

Since Roulette is a game based on straight statistics, generally you get fair odds. For example you will get even money odds when you bet red and the actual statistical odds that red will come up is approximately even. The exception is the one green square in European Roulette. Therefore your odds are slightly lower than 50/50. It is important to note, however, that the house edge can vary, as it does most notably in the US. In American roulette the house edge is 5.26% for every bet except the five number bet which gives a house edge of 7.29%.

Roulette is a pretty rigid, non-interactive game and players can do very little to lower the house edge. But what they can do is to be on a careful lookout for places that offer special rules. In Atlantic City there is a beneficial rule called “surrender”. Enquire about this rule, at the table before playing. But to summarize briefly, the rule is applicable only to outside bets that pay even money. These are red/ black, even/odd and high/low. If the ball lands on a double zero (00), the better loses half the bet instead of the whole amount.

Though even money bets are doubly nice as compared to their inner counterparts, the player has to give up on payoffs significantly in order to benefit from the lower house advantage. Even though this cannot be considered a perfect situation, the strategy works.

Be on the look out for wheels that do not have a double zero. In European roulette wheels this is standard but it is rarely the case with American tables, where the house advantage is significantly higher. American casinos do away with the odds of European Roulette and add an extra Green space – the double “00”. With this move the house advantage goes up by a factor of 2. Hence European Roulette gives the house an advantage of 2.7% as against American Roulette that gives an advantage of 5.5%.

One other rule that must be kept in mind is called ‘En Prison’, which can only be found in Europe. Suppose you are placing an even-money outside bet, and the ball lands at ‘0’, if En Prison is applicable, the bet will not be swept off after all the other bets. It will not be returned either. The bet becomes ‘in prison’ and stays on the board and gets another chance on the next spin. In the next ‘spin’ if your bet wins, you get the money back, though with no extra winnings. If the next spin is a ‘loss’ your bet gets swept away. In case it lands on a zero, it remains ‘En Prison’ once more. This rule decreases the house advantage on even-money bets to 1.35%.

After all these strategic tips you will begin to think that playing at European tables is probably the best strategy. The real issue here, however, is not location, but that you must visit ‘Single zero roulette wheel’ locations. One such location, rather surprisingly, is some online casinos.

Roulette For Beginners

By Wes Young

If you aren't a roulette player, but have walked past a busy roulette wheel in a casino, you may have wondered what all the excitement and commotion was. There is definitely something almost magical and mesmerizing about the spinning wheel and sound of the Ivory ball clinking around and finally settling into one of the pockets. Here is an introduction to the game of roulette for new players.

There are two different types of popular roulette wheels. The most common wheel in the United States is a double zero wheel called American roulette. The American roulette wheel contains the numbers 1 through 36, a 0 and a 00. This creates a house edge of over 5%. The wheel that is most common worldwide is a single zero wheel that is usually called a European roulette wheel. They contain a 0 and the numbers 1 through 36. The house edge on a European wheel is about 2.5%.

You can place a wide range of bets on each roulette spin, offering a wide range of payouts. Here are the most common bets and payouts.

Straight / Single number 35 to 1

Split / Two numbers 17 to 1

Street / Three numbers 11 to 1

Square / Four numbers 8 to 1

Line / Five numbers 6 to 1

Line / Six numbers 5 to 1

Column / All 12 numbers 2 to 1

Dozen / ex 1thru 12 2 to 1

Odd Even Black or White 1 to 1

High (19-36) or Low 1 to 1

With the growth of online casino play, more and more people are playing roulette online. One of the biggest drawbacks for the online roulette player is the bonuses offered by most casinos can’t be cleared playing roulette. Remember to always read the terms and conditions of any bonus before accepting it.

So if you have always wondered what all the excitement was about, step up to the nearest roulette wheel and place a bet. Good luck!

Roulette Basics - How to Win at Roulette

By Evan Kingsley

The game roulette originated from France with the term coming from the French word meaning small wheel. The game Roulette is game that tests one’s luck at winning. The object of the game Roulette is to bet on the winning number or color that would appear on the wheel. You can also bet on a range of numbers or if the numbers that are to appear are odd or even. In order to determine the winning number or color, the croupier spins the wheel in one direction, and the ball on the opposite direction and whichever number the ball lands on determines the winning number.

Roulette Wheels

Presently, there are two kinds of wheels that may be used in the game of roulette. There’s the European wheel and the American wheel. The European wheel has 37 slots with numbers from 0-36, while the American wheel has an additional slot for the double zero (00) which makes it having 38 slots total.

Things to Know

You can join a game of roulette by purchasing special chips that are intended to be used only on roulette games. With these special chips, you can choose to make your bets on either the inside bets or on the outside betting area. You won’t worry about getting confused on whose chips belong to whom. Every individual is given different colored chips. This makes it possible to bet on the box other people already placed a bet on. The inside betting area consists of individual numbers that you can bet on. The outside betting area includes boxes for bets on red or black, odd or even and some ranges of numbers. Every table of the game roulette has a minimum or maximum bet depending on the table. This means that you can only bet at least the minimum amount per box. Even when the ball and the wheel are already spinning, you can still place your bets. It’s the dealer’s call when there can be no more bets to be made. He usually calls it when the ball and the wheel starts to slow down on spinning and he waves his hand to the players and says ‘No more bets’.

There are different ways to bet on the game of roulette. For instance, on the inside betting area, making a bet on a single number would be called ‘Straight Up’ and the player could win as big as 35 times his original bet is. If the player bets on two numbers, it’s called a ‘split bet’ and would win for 17 times the player’s bet. The player can also bet for a vertical line, and that would win for 11 is to 1, or try out betting on the four corners of the layout as he could win 8 times his bet.

On the outside betting area, the player can bet whether the number will be even or odd, or red or black colored. The player can bet on a certain group of numbers. This is called the dozens bet and this pays a nice 3:1.

Roulette Rules - How to Win at Roulette

By Evan Kingsley

One thing that makes roulette popular to casino goers, both newbie and veteran, is the simplicity of its rules. It is so simple that even those with no prior experience in gambling can play roulette like a pro after reading a brochure or by mere observation of how other players wager on the table. If you’re a newbie player or a veteran of other games and would like to learn more about the game, here are some of the things you should know about it.

The Basics

Roulette is a game played by up to eight players playing against the croupier or the dealer. The dealer is responsible for facilitating the game, declaring the betting open and closed, spins the wheel, declaring the winning number, paying out winnings and collecting losses. Roulette is played on a special table with markers indicating where the players can bet, a roulette wheel with numbered and colored slots, and a small metal ball. The objective of the game is to accurately predict the where amongst the numbered slot in the roulette wheel the ball will land after the wheel is spun.

Before the game, players are required to purchase a special roulette chips at the cashier because ordinary casino chips are not used in roulette. Each player has his own colored set of chips he can use to wager on the table. After the game, these chips, or what was left of it, can be exchanged for casino chips or money at the cashier.

There are three types of tables used in the game. There are the French, the American and the European tables. The French and European roulette tables have grids numbered 0 to 36 as well as other regions dedicated for outside betting. The American table, on the other hand, has grids numbered 0 to 36 with an additional slot for a 00, apart from the pre-marked regions for outside bets. The difference in the tables is also apparent in the roulette wheels. French and American Roulette wheels have 37 numbered slots, while the American wheels have 38 numbered slots.

The Bets

There are several bets available for roulette players. They are classified based on where you would normally put them, either inside the grid (inside bets) or outside the grid (outside bets). Placing the wager in a specific manner on the roulette table executes a specific bet.

There are six kind of inside bets, namely the straight, the spit, the street, the corner, the five-liner, and the six-liner. Inside Bets have the biggest payout of the game, but it has also the hardest one to make. Straight is a kind of bet made squarely on a number. Split is a bet made on two adjacent numbers, while street is a bet made on a set of number belonging in the same line. Corner is a wager on four numbers adjacent to each other. Five-liners is a bet that can be made only in American table because it is a bet on 0, 00, 1, 2 and 3 while the six-liner is a bet made on two adjacent rows.

Other Rules

There are several rules that are not generally implemented on all roulette tables. Some casino offers an ‘En Prison” rule where, when the number 0 appears, the players have the option to take the bet or to leave it there for another round. There is also the ‘La Partage’ option where players who bet on even-money bets loses only half of their bets made on the table when the outcome is zero.

How to Use a Roulette System to Win at Roulette

By Evan Kingsley

Like all forms of gambling there is normally a mathematical formula or system behind it all and playing a game for fun usually results in a loss of money, but playing a game systematically can yield good winnings. Remember, the casino's don't want you to win, but there are ways to increase your odds.

Casinos make all their profit from the blind luck gamblers and their four leafed clovers, but fortunately for you, you’re making a proactive effort to actually use some scientific theory behind your method by reading this article.

So why use a roulette system? Most people think roulette is a game of chance, but there are certain laws and systems that can be applied in order to come out on top consistently. Nothing in life is truly random, there’s cause and effect and there’s probability.

Flip a coin 100 times and you’ll probably get each face about 50 times depending on the cause of the wind, or power of the flip etc. Similar laws, rules and formulas can be applied to your roulette system to increase your chances of striking it big, or at least going home with more cash than when you arrived.

Now the laws of probability themselves suggest that people with degrees in maths, with mathematical minds are more likely to understand and be successful with the formula that goes in to a roulette system but they are that simple, any average Joe – including you (although you may be an above average Harry) can use them.

Perhaps the simplest, yet most logical and arguably effective roulette system is the old Martingale approach. (The what?) Exactly, this has been around for years, proving that there will always be blind luck gamblers with four leaf clovers who have no idea about such systems or who don’t actively seek them out – meaning there will always be money for you to win. This roulette system simply means that you cover your losses.

Firstly pick a comfortable wager that doesn’t break your balance right away, for example $10 and put it on even. Spin, if it’s even hooray you’ve got $20 back. Now the rule is to only bet the same amount again, usually on the same number. So bet even again and again and again.

If you lose a round, use the double back system. So if you bet $10 and lose, bet $20 so that if you win then you are automatically “back in the game.” The reason I say pick a comfortable wager is because you may hit a bad chain and have to keep doubling back. If you were too greedy to begin with you may go broke. Generally speaking you can also apply the laws of probability and alternate between odd and even (keeping the same wager).

This is a very simple roulette system and there are hundreds of others out there that are more complicated and take longer to fully grasp.

The single most important rule in regards to your roulette system is to stick with it. Don’t get angry and bet a huge sum, and don’t become greedy!

Roulette Systems - Moving Beyond Chance In Roulette

By T. Cy Harrison

Ever since the little metal ball started spinning around the numbered roulette wheel, people have been trying to come up with a system to beat chance and make some easy money. The classic example is the Martingale system, which was developed in a effort to ensure that a flip of the coin could be made profitable.

The Martingale system states, if you have a fifty percent chance of winning, all you have to do is double your bet at each loss until you win. Eventually you will win back double your original bet. The practical flaws of this system are readily apparent. A player might not have unlimited funds to continue doubling his bet, if the string of losses stretches long enough. And casinos do not consciously leave the odds even on their games. They stack them in their own favor.

But from the humble simplicity of the Martingale system, tactics and strategies for winning at Roulette have developed. These range from the more or less licit, such as monitoring the functioning of a roulette wheel in actual practice where it does not necessarily conform to the ideal notions of mathematical probability, but can have an idiosyncratic personality of its own that affects probability or developing in depth mathematical models in the hopes of cracking roulette's code.

The most famous person to crack the code, mechanical or mathematical, of a roulette wheel was the Englishman Joseph Jagger. Jagger was an engineer who speculated that the individual construction of each roulette wheel would affect the frequency of the numbers it would produce. Jagger and some friends went to Monte Carlo and found that he had speculated correctly. Jagger went on to win handsomely, and became known as the Man Who Broke the Bank at Monte Carlo.

Others have tried to devise a purely mathematical system to plan their bets. These models can be extremely difficult for a layperson to grasp, and often are quite intricate, demanding that you bet a certain number of spins on a specific colour and keeping track of the spin results, all the while adjusting your strategy accordingly. Betting only on red, for instance, can be broken down probabilistically and the odds measured. Since there are the 0 slots on the roulette wheel, the odds of the ball landing on red are slightly less than half they are 47.83 percent over a long enough time span it can be difficult to profit by betting only on red.

With the advent of online casinos, new dynamics come into play that are roughly akin to the mechanical operations of wheels in real life casinos. Online casinos often give away a certain amount of “bonus” cash for newcomers to play with, and other promotions abound. A savvy roulette player today must take all of this into consideration when placing bets if he wants to increase his odds of winning.

Several resources are available that outline how to maximize your odds in online roulette play, such as the website http://www.RouletteMadeEasy.com. These systems take a holistic view of online roulette and look to take everything into account to make wherever the roulette ball lands more profitable.

Roulette Strategies - Picking the Best Roulette System to Win

By Adam Maxwell

Behind every successful roulette player is a working roulette strategy. A set of rules (that are usually mathematically proven), of which they stick to throughout each and every game. No distractions, no greed, no anger, just a strategy that makes them money. You are here because you want to make money with a roulette strategy and fortunately for you after reading this, if you stick to your guns your probably will.

To begin with the basic rule to add to your roulette strategy starts with the type of tables. Always pick the European table. That doesn’t mean flying to Europe as these tables are now uses everywhere.

American tables have what is called the best house edge, because they have an extra double zero on the table – meaning the odds are more in their favor than if you’re playing a European table, which only has one zero. Instead of boring you with all the technical detail, to put it bluntly – American tables have a 5.4% edge over you, whilst a European table has only 2.7% edge over you. European table it is!

The next thing to add to your roulette strategy is the tried and tested Martingale system. To put it simply, if you lose a bet, double it next time around to get back your money. This obviously has its pitfalls and you should be responsible. It is a good idea to pick a bet amount and stick to it, making sure if you go on a losing streak and have to keep doubling each time, you still have enough in the bank to continue. There’s nothing worse than getting greedy and going broke before you could effectively double back your money. To be most successful don’t just use the Martingale strategy and bet on a whim, you should include it in your overall strategy. Gamblers use it as backup in case everything goes horribly wrong.

Another point that should be added to your overall game is the tourist strategy. It goes back to Las Vegas and the many tourists that swamp the place each year, with their cameras and khaki shorts. These are the kind of people casinos love and if you can portray yourself as a clueless tourist you’ll arouse no suspicion.

I’ll let you in on a secret. Casinos don’t want you to win, so they have highly trained spies that look out for people using strategies or who are winning consistently. To throw them off, it’s a good idea to look and act like a tourist. Now that may be pushing it to the extreme but a logical thing to do when you are winning is to move on to the next casino or change tables. Now this doesn’t apply to online casinos but if they allow you to have an avatar or a name, a fat picture of an elderly gentleman named Randy might make them put your winning down to luck.

Roulette strategy is an art so be sure to practice on free plays before putting down a wager.

Best Roulette Payouts - How to Win at Roulette and Get the Maximum Payout

By Adam Maxwell

Roulette is the third biggest Casino game in the US and the world because of its relative simplicity. There are two versions. The European and the American. We will focus the American version in this article, although payouts are the same bar one. This is due to the American double zero which increases the house edge on American roulette tables.

Roulette payouts are not pot luck or simple jackpot wins, although they do vary depending on what was wagered in the first place and where the chip is placed on the mat. Detailed roulette payouts are explained below:

Straight bets yield the highest payouts because they have the worst odds of winning. A straight bet is when you pick one number out of all 36 to win. You can also choose zero or double zero. The payout ratio is 35 to 1, meaning if you wagered $10 you would get a nice $350 back. It’s this high for a reason though, because you obviously have a one in 38 chance of winning. Choose this bet on its own if you have cash to burn.

You can increase your chances but still get a high payout (at least where roulette payouts are concerned) by splitting your bet. This means placing your chip between two numbers on the board. If it lands on either of these numbers you get a 17 to 1 payout. You can take this option even further by using corner bets (where all four corners of each number meet) – yielding an 8 to 1 payout. You can use different combinations for more secure bets.

Perhaps the easiest method and at times the most rewarding (in the long run) is to simply bet on a color red or black. This however gives a low payout, which is even to how much you wagered. For example if you bet $10 and win, you get your $10 back with an extra $10.

Identical to this is the odd and even bet. Simply bet on whether the ball will land on an odd or even number. You do not have to decide the exact number it lands on though.

High bets are between 1 and 18, and low bets are between 19 and 36. Like the above two a winning bet would simply grant a payout of 1 to 1.

If you choose the first, middle or last set of 12’s you will get a payout of 2 to 1.

Of course these payouts can alter as you use different combinations at once – but in doing so you greatly decrease your odds of winning at all, and you can quickly burn through your whole bank balance.

The simplest method as outlined above is to bet on odd or even and red or black. Combine this with the Martingale system of doubling your bet amount after a loss and you will eventually always be in the positive. It just depends on how big your bank balance is and if it can take a huge losing streak, or adhere to the maximum bet limit whilst taking a loss.

Tips For Roulette When Playing an American Roulette Wheel

By Evan Kingsley

The game of roulette itself originated from France during the eighteenth century, although it also has ties to English and Italian games of the time. It is said to be a bit of a combination of several of these games, but was created and first became big in France. Some even say it was stolen from China and shipped over with Dominican Monks. The roots of the American roulette wheel are based on the original French game.

Much like the popular American roulette wheel that you can find in casinos today, these early French tables had a zero and a double zero giving the advantage to the bank. It wasn’t until 1843 that the single zero wheel would be developed. In order to compete with the competition a German casino reduced the zero numbers, to lower the house edge and give the players betters odds. This proved to be a big hit. After all why would you use a table that has a competitive disadvantage?

Now used throughout Europe as the standard table, they are the much preferred option. The American roulette wheel is still in widespread use in the US, but European wheels are present in most major casinos.

On the earliest forms of the American roulette wheel they only had 28 numbers, plus the zero and double zero, or it its place what was called the American eagle. (Basically and eagle symbol). The Californian Gold Rush saw American roulette hit its peak. It seems gold; money and gambling all go together.

In today’s game the American roulette wheel consists of numbers 1 to 36, with 0 and double zero. To be mathematically correct it has a 5.26% house advantage, with the more popular (for obvious reasons) European tables having only one zero, giving it a lower 2.7% house advantage. There are other small difference between the American and European wheels that do not affect the game, such as chip color and Europe using a chip rake instead of the American dealer just using their hands.

Despite all these differences the basic game of roulette includes the cloth betting table and the spinner wheel. You bet on either a number between 1 and 36, a combination of different numbers, or whether it will be odd (black) or even (red). You can also select specific lines or columns of numbers, or one of the three sets of twelve, e.g. 1 to 12, 13 to 24 or 24 to 36.

More experienced players bet on several different combinations of them all. When the betting period ends the wheel is spun and whatever it lands on is the winning bet. Tables have minimum and maximum bets so they always make a fair profit but don’t lose too much either.

With the huge rise of the internet you can now also play both virtual European roulette and the virtual American roulette wheel online. It is advised to play with the large reputable Casinos due to the possibility of fraud. Still nothing beats playing roulette in a proper casino in Vegas!

How to Win at Roulette - Tips For Roulette When Playing Online

By Evan Kingsley

Roulette is one of the most common and popular out of all the casino games, so like anything with an element of loss the common question occurs. How to win at roulette? There’s no easy answer. It takes time, practice, the use of effective strategies and systems, as well as a little natural flair. That being said a lot of it can be taught, and I’ll attempt to explain some of the basics – so the question won’t be “how to win at roulette” but “thank god you taught me how to win at roulette.”

First and foremost roulette is a game of chance, but with the right formulas and strategies you can greatly increase your odds and in turn your win rate. Nobody wins every time, but with a high win rate you will definitely end up with a good profit margin.

The basics of the European roulette table (never play American roulette as the odds are low to begin with due to their double zero number) are as follows:

- A table with all the numbers represented is spun with a ball. Wherever the ball lands is the winning bet, but players can increase their chances with splits, columns and so on.

- The playing layout displays 36 numbers, with odd colored black and even colored red. You can put chips (amounts worked out prior to game) on either number or on the result just being odd or even.

- These numbers are then split in to 3 sections. In other words the first 12 numbers are in section one, the second 12 numbers (up to 24) are In the second section and the same up to 36. You can place bets on each of these sections. You can also bet on it landing on 1-18 and 19-36.

- You can also place chips on columns, individual lines and between numbers (splits).

Now that you have chosen a European table you want to look out for other things that will increase your chances. One such thing is the “en prison” rule that is sometimes used. This means that if you used your money to bet equal (for example on odd or even), and the ball lands on zero you don’t actually lose. Your bet is held off for the next spin. If you then win, you can take the chip of the table. This lowers the house edge of a European table from 2.7% to 1.35%. As alluded to above, the American tables have an extra zero giving them a house edge of 5.4%, which although small isn’t worth the risk if you want to make serious money.

There are several other strategies that can be used in conjunction with the basics in order to increase the odds. These include the Martingale method of doubling your wager after a losing bet to win back the money and the consecutive rule. If four consecutive outcomes are on the same line or column, bet on another. This involves your tripling your losses to stay in the game.
